Mitt Younts is a respected entrepreneur, businessman and seasoned M&A intermediary. He has negotiated and closed over 100 media sector radio -TV transactions with an aggregate value of over $500 million.
While growing up in a family owned radio business, he has been in radio and TV management and ownership for over thirty-five years bringing an intimate understanding of the operating issues facing business owners. He worked for ten years as an Associate Broker with Chapman Associates media group based in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1984, he established the company’s first office in Washington, DC. Following his original tenure with Chapman, he served for twelve years as Managing Director and a principal of Media Services Group, a nationwide media brokerage firm that he helped establish in 1990. Most recently Mitt served as a Managing Member of EnVest Media and principal of the firm he established in 2003.
Mitt earned a BA in Journalism from Washington and Lee University and holds an MA degree in Mass Communications and Business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has served as Director and Secretary-Treasurer, for the Library of American Broadcasting, as well as Director of the Central Virginia Public Television and Virginia Association of Broadcasters.
As a Managing Director of Chapman’s Washington DC-Metro and Maryland Office, Mitt represents a wide range of clients in the Mid-Atlantic, as well as clients throughout the U.S. in transportation, technology and media.
Mitt resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife and has two children in college.
